Attendees can post questions during Live events to interact with the speaker. Questions can then be managed by the event moderators, who choose which questions the speaker will see. This article will give a quick walk-through of this process.
To allow your attendees to post questions during a Live event, activate the Questions switch on the Basics page. There are three further options:
- If you do not want your questions to be moderated, click on the Auto-approve questions switch.
- If you would like to let attendees ask questions anonymously, click on the Anonymous questions switch.
- If you would like that the attendees need to provide a name when asking a question, click on Mandatory name
When the event has been started on the Live Producer, attendees can post questions on the Public Event page.
If your event has a registration page, the input fields of this registration will be displayed in the name field and will be posted in the backend as long as you do not have activated Anonymous questions.
On the Questions page you can see incoming questions in real-time. Moderators can also post their own questions in the question bar at the bottom of the page. The role of moderator and speaker can be added to SlideSync users of your organization on the User permissions page.
Incoming questions can be edited by clicking on the text, editing, and then clicking on the check mark to confirm changes. When moderators approve of a question, they can then forward it to the speaker by dragging it from the Incoming questions panel to the Live panel.
Once the moderator has forwarded a question, the speaker will then see it either on their Questions page, or on the Questions widget on the Live Producer. Once approved, these questions cannot be edited by the speaker.
Speakers can then choose to answer Live questions into the microphone during the event. It can then be dragged to the Answered panel by the speaker or by the moderator.
Questions can be exported in CSV or Excel format by clicking on the Export icon at the top right of the Questions page.
